What we do

01

Business plans

Investor-ready plans with financial models, competitive analysis, and market sizing. Not a template with your name on it — a strategic document built from primary research that answers the questions funding committees actually care about.

Typical engagement: 2–3 weeks · from $750

02

Market research

Industry analysis, TAM/SAM/SOM sizing, competitive landscapes, and customer segmentation. The kind of work that turns "we think there's an opportunity" into "here's exactly how big it is and who's already in the space."

Typical engagement: 1–2 weeks · from $500

03

B2B content

White papers, case studies, and long-form content that does actual work — generates leads, establishes authority, gives your sales team something to send besides a pitch deck. Written for humans who make purchasing decisions.

Typical engagement: ongoing · from $300 per piece

04

Grant writing

Federal, state, and private foundation proposals. Structured, specific, and written to score well against published criteria. Good work deserves funding — the proposal shouldn’t be the bottleneck.

Typical engagement: 2–4 weeks · from $500

How it works

You tell me what you're building and what you need. I ask questions — some of them uncomfortable. Then I go away and do the work. You get a first draft, we refine it together, and you walk away with a document you'd be proud to put in front of investors, board members, or grant committees.

No weekly status calls. No 47-slide decks about our methodology. No junior analysts. Just the work.

01
Briefing

A detailed intake over email: your goals, timeline, audience, and what success looks like. Written so nothing gets lost in translation.

02
Research

I dig into your market, your competitors, and the data that matters. This is where the value gets built.

03
Draft and refine

Full deliverable plus one round of revisions. On time, on brief, no filler.

The business plan Kenneth wrote was the centerpiece of our seed round. Our lead investor told us the market analysis was what tipped their decision.

Our grant success rate went from roughly one in five to better than half. The ROI paid for itself inside two months.

We needed a competitive landscape analysis for a board presentation — on a 5-day timeline. Kenneth delivered something more thorough than reports we’ve paid consultancies three times as much for. It’s become our baseline reference document.

About Kenneth Shore

I spent a decade in management consulting before starting KenCoast. The work was good; the overhead wasn't. Too many layers between the person doing the analysis and the person who needed it.

Now every project gets my direct attention. I do the research, write the deliverable, and stand behind it. Financial services, SaaS, healthcare, real estate, consumer goods — the industries change, but the job is always the same: take a complicated situation and make the path forward clear.

I prefer written communication. It's more precise, it's documented, and it respects your time. If that sounds like how you like to work, we'll get along.
